Our Story

The VCC started out as a group of friends in the early 2000s setting out to improve the NZR 1:64 scale model railway hobby. Over time some of the founding group has moved on, leaving Michael and Michelle. In 2022 we decided to purchase the diesel Online range from Ken Cousins, with the intent of improving the kits to encourage the next generation of modellers.

Since then, we have done what we set out to do! The kits we have released we are very proud of. Some of the upgrades include new masters, etches and instructions to name a few. Along with our locomotive range we have also produced a range of detail parts & decals, making our kits more customisable than ever before.

As we both have full time jobs, all the development of these kits takes somewhat longer than we would like. But, we are committed to making sure that the kits we produce, are to the best quality we can & appreciate the patience of the model building community, as this is a part time business for us. In the background there is also Steve Brabender to help spread the load. He looks after the face book page for us, among other things & we are very grateful for the help.
